Everything about it was beautiful, raw, powerful, and magical. Us Olicity fans can talk about it all day, but specifically, we NEED to talk about one line in particular:. For a short time, the plan was Oliver and Laurel, adhering to comic book canon. Whether any of these moments were scripted as having romantic undertones or not, the actors Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards natural and undeniable chemistry created magic on our television screens, and consequently, the ship of dreams.

Originally posted by olicitykisses. I divided the post in several subjects to make it a little easier to follow. So here we go! As the summary of the fic says, this story is inspired by Ugly Betty meets Arrow which might have been one of the many reasons why I hesitated to read this fic for so long. I think it was the first show I was really in love with and that I followed all the way through until Lisa and David finally found their happy end with each other.

Anyway, I needed something to read. It was actually quite the opposite. Originally posted by yourreactiongifs. In the first chapters, when I got to know the characters, I immediately linked some characters in the story to those in ViB.

Yet the Arrow characters were all written perfectly in-character. Instead they are still the same characters we know from the show, just slightly changed to fit the setting of the story. One of the many examples is Queen Consolidated. It is something that I love to watch and love to read because it offers so much potential, potential that was absolutely used in the best way possible in this fic!

We see Felicity being more than just the EA. We see Oliver learning from her regarding professional as well as private subjects, and it was perfect! Originally posted by ignitetheliight. The overall plot was so multidimensional that, no matter how well those dimensions played into one another, it is actually hard to just put it into one plotline. We see Oliver being his pre-island, irresponsible self but changing slowly. We see Oliver and Felicity work together to save the company they have both grown fond of.

We see them becoming friends and eventually falling in love. We see them fighting those feelings before feeling ready to give in.

We see the world being rough on them again and again and whether their love is strong enough to survive. Oliver and Felicity both have their individual storylines that are of course linked to one another, but that are still theirs. They both grow, and that is a wonderful thing to see. We have funny. We have a lot of funny things happening.

Honestly, I might have burst out into laughter while reading from time to time. We also have very emotional scenes. Showing a character growing and showing two characters falling in love is quite emotional already.

This fic nails every single scene of that. We know where they are coming from, what they think and what they feel. It all makes perfect sense because characters have flaws and insecurities and the writing is not scared to point them out as such. Originally posted by lilsparrow When fantasies turn into reality, we see a lot of smut.

When the smut started, I was so relieved. After all the UST finally a scene in a certain archive room that was more than overdue — Well, actually it was right in time for the story, but you know a reader can get quite frustrated with that UST.

Then we had the smut increasing slowly until finally the way was free for them to really go at it. I love smut, but I also feel like with an emotional and deep story as His Girl Wednesday the smut needs a purpose. The happier I was when I read the chapters and found that purpose. We see Oliver and Felicity connecting on that physical level. We see Felicity trusting Oliver, and we see Oliver caring for her. Given their past relationships it was a big step for both of them. By the way I read most of the fic during train rides, especially the second half of the story.

Unfortunately, that caused me to stop reading mid-chapter quite often. I had all the foreplay on my train ride to uni, needed to concentrate on uni stuff for several hours and only got to read them finish on the ride home. Originally posted by drunkbroadway. Originally posted by someone-like-robsten. I love Felicity.

I love Felicity being shown as who we see her on the show. She is a runner and she lashes out when she is angry. Luckily, the Felicity we see in the fic is just like that. She is smart, really smart! We dig deep into her past. We learn about her struggle with her father and with Cooper I never liked him less! It perfectly links to what Felicity is faced with when falling in love with Oliver and that is beautiful.

Sure, there might have been some attraction — how can you not be attracted to Oliver Queen?! And that is something that makes me so happy! Originally posted by amellrickards. The Oliver we see at the beginning of the fic basically is pre-island Oliver.

He is in a relationship, yet sleeps around. Until finally there is. His whole family is threatening to fall apart because of Isabel. So what does he do? Oliver certainly is the one character to make the strongest development, and I love every bit of it. He is a grown up man who starts taking matters into his own hands. He is trying to be a better man for Felicity, for his family but most importantly for himself, and it is a pleasure to read.

Originally posted by showandwrite. He is a really good friend to Oliver. He is funny, honest and open. The bromance is strong!

His relationship with Felicity is one of the little things that always make me smile. They have a great non-romantic chemistry. This is probably one of my favorite scenes for them:. At least it had the advantage of throwing Tommy off balance.

Originally posted by canariesatom. I am never particularly looking forward to seeing Oliver and Laurel together in a fic because I feel a lot of people try to put all blame on her for how her relationship to Oliver was. That is why I am really happy with how this fic handled their relationship or rather the end of it.

It was both of their faults. They both did the other and actually even themselves wrong by continuing with this unhealthy relationship and taking it as far as they did despite the fact how broken it was already. Oliver cheats. I think it was nice to see Oliver taking his part of them blame and Laurel admitting that she might have a part of that too.

Their relationship has already been at a dead-end, and eventually they could see that and react to that. I think that was written really well. Originally posted by confidentialityspice.

At the beginning there is a lot of tension because they are in a crappy position. They soon get over that, though, and they become friends. I love their dynamics as friends. It is really beautiful with a touch of there could be more. They are not afraid to stand up to each other. They are not afraid to tease the crap out of each other.

It is a joy to read! One of my favorite things at the beginning of the fic was their road trip — such a nice callback to what we saw on the show. Originally posted by bellamysclark. The way she manipulated his car to make sure she was going to take her with him and everything that happened during their trip was just hilarious! The toothing, God, so funny!

Olicity AU Masterlist

Maybe it was the chemistry between these two sensational actors. Maybe it was the writing. Perhaps it was just a matter of fate. But here we are, and we might as well give credit where credit is due. So, in honor of Oliver and Felicity, here are the twelve underrated moments that made us fall in love with these two crazy kids.

Watch the video. Now that Oliver no longer has the list to work from, he's not sure what's next.

Happy Friday! So this is my attempt to both thank awesome fanfic writers for their amazing work and offer my recommendations to anyone who is interested. Here are the fantastic fanfic stories I read this week! They are posted in the order I read them.

Arrow: 12 Underrated Moments That Made Us Fall In Love With #Olicity

I always counter with I said to watch the Pilot and skip to about episode Sara Lance actually can empathies and understand what Ollie is going through, she has the scars to prove it. Her presence gave Arrow so much needed warmth for a series that could have the Arrow dropping 5 henchmen like nothing. Arrow season 2 has done a lot of aggressive expansion in terms of universe and Team Arrow.

This box was ridiculously unwieldy, but it made sense in a weird way. It was shelf box injustice. Felicity got the box outside - having to maneuver like a crazy person to fit it through the back sliding door - and lifted it over her head as she made her way to the side of the house. Something heavy and metal clinked on the other side of the fence separating the front from the back, and Felicity recognized the sound of Oliver hauling their old lawnmower up onto the driveway, pushing it along the concrete to stow back in the shed. Felicity smiled, shaking her head as she set the box down and waited for him to open the gate, listening to him talk to Stan. Paul almost died when they ran out, I had to resuscitate him with wine.

ARROW Recap – “Identity”

But things are started to develop a bit more thanks to Episode 2. Check out our weekly recap after the jump! Is there are quota for this on The CW? There probably is. Roy is listening in to police activity and heads to the scene before they can. He manages to flip one of the bad guys on his bike but the other turns off and heads for Roy, causing him to flip his car.
