We only see the good, which makes us blind to major flaws and warning signs we might have otherwise noticed. Everyone falls victim to rose-colored glasses at one point or another. Why do we have this blindness to flaws in people we care about when others can see them so clearly? Would love be impossible to find otherwise? For me, I knew it from the beginning.

Who is ready for my take on this weeks Killing Stalking chapter! I want to focus on the shading of this chapter. I have seen people say that they are unsettled by the amount of the red shading, because we alllll know what red means in KS. These pictures are of moments when a character is in distress. As you can tell, they are heavily shaded in red. A pretty good definition is when someone is seeing something in a positive way, often thinking of it as better than it actually is. I think we can all agree that this very much defines the relationship between Bum and Sangwoo. Notice the color of the shading.

Rose-Tinted Reality: You’re Wired To View Loved Ones With Greater Optimism, Study Finds
The researchers recruited 1, participants for five studies and tested how strongly they believed specific positive and negative events could occur to various people they knew — loved ones, friends and acquaintances — or strangers briefly described to them as good or bad people. They found that people were more apt to believe positive events could happen more often to people they like, even when the probability of that event happening was much lower. Similarly, participants viewed the odds of something bad happening — ranging from losing luggage to being diagnosed with cancer to missing an important meeting — to a close friend to be notably less than the actual probability.
